Do you plan to add support for JSON/XML queries?

So, support a query such as
An example would be something similar to the foursquare API, to search geographically like:

This would return a set of nearby places and greatly simplify use from mobile applications.

Do you have a planned timescale? Or details of an API?

I guess the alternative is to write a separate component that reads the jos_gmap table itself.
